Kim is a Junior Instructor with Jersey Wado Ryu and is a 1st Dan (Shodan).
Kim started karate as an adult, after a New Years resolution in 2013 resulted in an unexpected love for pushing herself both physically and mentally.
Kim was graded to 1st Dan in 2023 after 10 years of dedication and training and, as a teacher herself, enjoys instructing and training within the club. She has taught karate classes within a school setting and has worked with children of all ages and Key Stages.
Kim teaches Music at a Jersey secondary school and is a keen musician outside of karate: when not training with Jersey Wadu Ryu, she can be found playing woodwind and percussion with a variety of groups and Ensembles across the island.
